Description

Our Callisto Decaf starts in the Amazonian Highlands of Central Peru, cultivated by the PANGOA cooperative of indigenous Ashaninkas farmers. The unique blend of Caturra, Typica, Bourbon, and Catimor varietals contributes to the mild and sweet taste often associated with Peruvian coffees. PANGOA’s partnership with our wholesaler, Dean’s Beans, began in 2003 and remains strong today. 

The coffee beans are fully washed before decaffeination, which uses a gentle, eco-friendly natural water process to keep their great taste and avoid adding harmful chemicals. Once we have them, our Luminary Roast™ provides a cleaner, smoother, and healthier cup of coffee for you to enjoy.

PANGOA has used profit shares and development funds from their partnership with Dean’s Beans to create loan funds for women, a reforestation program, college education funds, and other social, economic, and environmental initiatives. Your purchase of Callisto Decaf contributes to all of that.
